Staffed Homes

VIAH has four staffed homes established throughout Greater Victoria and Vancouver
Island.

The objective of housing services is to enable adults with autism to live as independently as possible in an environment which promotes learning, social development, and individual social and emotional comfort.

Basic components of housing programs include:
  • Up to 24-hour per day support and supervision
  • Three nutritious meals and two snacks per day
  • Health services - provided through Island Health, Health Services for Community Living (HSCL)
  • Social and recreational opportunities
  • Personal care services include moving around safely, and assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and managing medications.
